October comes lovely each year, whether cold and wet or crisp and windy ... for me it is the most lovely month of the year. Our trees are at what looks to me like peak or near-peak color today. It is rainy and dark, but the autumn leaves glow far and wide bringing a strange brightness to what would otherwise be a gloomy, moody day. Just a quick note to let my knitting readers know that I just released a new knitting pattern yesterday, the Teddy Bear Picnic Blanket. I have been on a break from new pattern releases for several months for ... personal reasons. This Teddy Bear Picnic Blanket is an easy cable knit with a pretty edging consisting of contrasting color "puffs" (similar to bobbles) and a ruffled picot trim.
