It snowed heavily for much of the day yesterday; after about the first hour or so it started sticking to the ground. We got several inches of snow, and the dogs had a particularly good time romping in it. In today's Advent of Santa you see a second Santa Claus from my collection. Sunday my baby grand-daughter helped me unpack my Santa collection and set the jolly old elves out around the house. We set quite a few of them all along the window sash frames in the four dinning room windows facing our barn. Others, we sat and stood all along the fireplace mantle in our sitting room. A few others we placed on the tops of floor cabinets, hutches, and a knee wall. After they were all arranged we counted them up ... 43 in all--I didn't realize I had that many so far. I would love to spend a little time with you, my reader, on my blog today. It is a stormy day in upstate New York, and we are expecting snow a bit later in the week. The turkey is waiting to be thawed, the groceries and fresh produce from our favorite farm market are purchased and waiting for Thursday's big day of cooking and gratitude.
